With the snow came the Christmas festivities in the village - oom pah pah bands, roasted almonds and mulled wine. It's an awesome atmosphere and you really have to be there to appreciate its appeal.
Around the 21st our formal classes shut down for the holiday break and some people went off to Austria to go to the opera. That didn't appeal to me so I made plans to go to France and then Italy to visit my friend Linda who was holidaying there at her inlaws' place in Tuscany.
