Whilst out shopping with Mary I bought a ticket to London using my student discount. We caught the bus into the coach station the next day and I began my five or so hour trip to the city then to Heathrow.
Just as I had done on the flight over, I was responsible for accompanying some goods for Qantas, and this time I went through Narita in Japan. Unfortunately I didn't have time to venture out of the airport so I could say that I had never visited Japan until last year, 2016.
Finally on the 5th February I made it back to Sydney and then to Canberra to start the school year, a week or two after the students. I was glad to be home, and even though it was an amazing experience I think I decided then that my days of travelling alone were probably numbered. The next big trip would be shared with family.
